Former Georgia WR Ladd McConkey makes debut in full Chargers uniform

Offseason activities are in full swing with the 2024 NFL Draft nearly a full month in the books and one of the most intriguing early-round picks to watch will be former Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey.

McConkey was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the No. 34 overall pick in the second round back in April and has already turned some heads with what he's shown on the practice field in OTAs.

The Bulldogs product and fellow wide receiver Brenden Rice were selected as the team's representatives when the NFLPA held its Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles on Saturday, giving Chargers fans their first look at what the first-year pair will look like in full gear. 

In the shoot, McConkey swapped his Georgia Red and Black for a Chargers powder blue jersey and white pants.

McConkey finished out his last season at Georgia with He finished out the season with 30 receptions for 478 yards and 3 total touchdowns in 8 games, showcasing the level of versatility he brings.

Based on what's been shown early on as McConkey has taken reps with the first-team offense in practice, establishing what already appears to be very solid chemistry with star quarterback Justin Herbert, he's bound to make a notable impact for the Chargers in the slot when the season arrives.
